Al Mazur established Gordon Rubber in Shelton, Connecticut in 1949. Al, a seasoned veteran of the consumer rubber products market, saw a chance to expand his client base by moving into more industrial applications.

Al's original vision was straightforward: to establish an industrial rubber products business that specialised in custom orders in smaller batch sizes while emphasising timely and personal service.

Gordon Rubber grew quickly during its first ten years, building a solid client base that necessitated two major expansions: first, a move from Shelton to our much larger, current location in 1960; and second, an expansion into our second building in 1970.

Being the first rubber company in the Carolinas, Southern Rubber Company, Inc. received its charter in 1925. Early on, tires, hoses, belts, and oil jobber supplies were the main areas of attention. Southern Rubber Company, Inc. started to diversify as more companies moved to the South and started using industrial rubber instead of only hose and gaskets for its vehicle goods.

When Southern Rubber initially began, our gaskets were cut with a die, a mallet, and an oak stump. A cutting-edge fabrication section that makes use of computer-operated punch presses, moving head presses, rotary presses, slitting and laminating equipment, and a waterjet has been installed over the years.

During World War II, when Europe needed to be rebuilt, the United States supplied the resources, and our company's founder, Michael Girard, started off working as a purchasing agent for France. We focused on rubber products since domestic sellers were pricey and disorganized. Beginning with a Japanese partner, we battled the unfavorable post-war perceptions of Japan and Japanese goods. More than 65 years ago, Accurate Products began as a manufacturer of rubber goods, catering to both OEM and industrial distribution markets. The primary industries covered include Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Automotive. Accurate Products expanded its rubber molding operations in the early 1970s to offer custom rubber molding to its O.E.M.s. When it comes to rubber molding for the automotive industry, industrial distributors, the rail and transportation sector, and the heating and plumbing sector, accuracy is at the top of the list.

Accurate relocated their rubber molding operations to Southeast Asia in the late 1980s. Accurate now ships 5 to 6 containers each month into Chicago from manufacturers of industrial rubber products in China, Taiwan, and Korea. Packages are stored in Accurate's 25,000 square foot warehouse.

 Norman Steinbruckner established Quick Cut Gasket & Rubber Company in 1964. Despite Norman's unfortunate passing, the business will continue to operate under Scott's direction and uphold the heritage of producing the best products and offering the best customer service.

On the east side of Buffalo, New York, was Norman's workshop, where we first met. He soon outgrew those 400 square feet, and after moving several times, he finally settled in at our 6 acre, 25,000 square foot facility in Lancaster, New York, where we've been for the past 42 years.

Ron, Norman's son, entered the business in 1970. His tasks included making tooling, unloading vehicles, and sweeping floors. Ron was named Vice in 1995.

Since 1973, Century Rubber has provided the aerospace, defense, electronics, medical, automotive, consumer, and petroleum industries with precision custom elastomer components like rubber seals and die cut gaskets. Using Die-Cutting, Compression, Transfer, or Injection Molding techniques, we can fabricate items using homogeneous molding, die cutting, rubber to metal, and rubber to plastic vulcanization. The kind of manufacturing process depends on the part design and the required production volumes.

We have continuously broadened and expanded our product line as well as our production capabilities since we realized early on that no single product line would be sufficient to meet the wide range of needs of the markets we service. .
