Before setting out to start his own company, John Bertsch, the founder and president of Detailed Machining Inc., started his career working for a number of nearby businesses. Driven by a desire to serve others and achieve what others believed was unachievable, Bertsch amassed the savings and purchased the required equipment to realize his dream. ​ In order to serve the needs of nearby sheet metal fabrication firms, Bertsch established Detailed Machining Inc. in 1997 as a service-oriented machine shop in a modest one-door garage in Sidney, Ohio. Bertsch and his staff were able to expand the company and succeed because of his unwavering dedication to his profession and concentration on providing exceptional customer service.
